Timothy Lee Henry

Timothy Lee Henry, 55, of Bentonville, Ark., died Monday, May 6, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born on April 21, 1958, in Bentonville, Ark., to Alvin Henry and Audrey Justus Henry. He was raised and educated in Bentonville. He became a volunteer fireman for the Bentonville Fire Department at age 18 and a full-time fireman at age 19. In 1984, he became a certified paramedic. Timothy married Mary Clark on Dec. 15, 1981. He received ongoing training at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Md. He retired in 2001 as battalion chief. Timothy was assigned as personal paramedic to President George Bush during his visit to Bentonville. He was also a member of the Hazardous Material Team for the Bentonville Fire Department. Timothy enjoyed spending time with family. He enjoyed camping, fishing and was an avid motorcycle rider. He worked for Bentonville Public Schools as a bus driver for special-needs children. He was a team leader of Children's Ministry at Faith Lutheran Church; his role was puppetry. He is survived by his wife, Mary Henry of Bentonville; two sons, Tony Henry (Leah) of Bentonville, Charles Rodden of Bentonville; four daughters, Melissa Parker (Whit) of Lowell, Ark., Tina Hamilton (Daryl) of Prosper, Texas, Cherie Do (Danny) of Rogers, Ark., Elyssa Henry of Bentonville; two brothers, Ron Henry (Betty) of Bella Vista, Ark., Dwayne Henry of Bartlesville, Okla.; six grandchildren, Courtney, Zachary, Kitrell, Annie, Jason and Jordan. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2013, with burial in Benton County Memorial Park.
