William 'Bill' Cecil White Jr.

William "Bill" Cecil White, Jr., 54, of Little Rock passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, in Little Rock. He was born March 30, 1959, in Bristol, Tenn., the son of William Cecil White, Sr., and Estelle Seablon. He served in the United States Navy, a Christian man that was loved by all who knew him at the V.A. home where he lived and other friends he left behind in Greenland. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenland. He loved to recite Bible verses and helped in the Children's Ministry at the church, known as Team Kids, and taught Bible verses to the children and as they learn the verses; they had opportunity to earn a Bible as well; he would take the time to write a special message to each child and with big smile on his face he would tell them how proud he was of them. Bill also loved to play the guitar and will be missed by all who knew him. St. John 15:12, This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Survivors include four aunts, Dorothy Reed and husband, Wayne of Odenville, Ala., Lena Hammock of Odenville, Ala., Mary Squires and husband, Robert of Moline, Ill., and Margaret Newman and husband, Gene of Pell City, Ala. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Beard's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Eric Howerton and Guy Derkee officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
