Nelma Irriss Payne

Nelma Irriss Payne, 83, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013, in Fayetteville. She was born Nov. 26, 1929, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., the daughter of Victor and Ruby Marie Wright Lade. She had attended First Baptist Church in Tampa, was a certified marine mechanic. Preceded in death by her husband, Purnell Floyd Payne; her parents; one brother; and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, Floyd Payne and wife, Wanda, of Springdale, and Charles Payne and wife, Saundra, of Fayetteville; one brother, Carroll L. Lade of St. Charles, Mo.; one sister, Nora Davis of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Beard's Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 6, at the funeral home. Online condolences: www.beardsfuneralchapel.com.
