Ouida L. Housdan

Ouida L. Housdan, age 79, of Fayetteville and formerly of Memphis, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. Ouida was born on Oct. 10, 1933, to Jack and Helen Sarten. Ouida enjoyed going to rodeos, picnics and going out to eat and she will be missed very much. Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Housdan in 1967; one son, Tommy Housdan; two brothers, Clinton and Thomas Sarten; and one infant sister. Ouida is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Gonzalez of Farmington; four grandchildren, Corry Housdan of Tennessee, Chris Gonzalez of Farmington, Jose Ventura of Farmington and Crystal Garcia and husband, Victor of Farmington; five great-grandchildren, Jayna, Kinzley, Devin, Christian and Jaxon; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at the Fayetteville First Assembly of God (550 E. 15th St.) in Fayetteville. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, before funeral services at Fayetteville First Assembly of God. Online tributes to the family may be made at www.bentoncountymemorialpark.com.
