Phillip S. Dutcher

Phillip S. Dutcher, 85, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in Rogers, Ark. He was born on Dec. 11, 1927, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Monroe Dutcher and Elizabeth Johnson Dutcher. He graduated from North High, Des Moines, Iowa, and attended Drake University. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict. He married Mary Ann Ehm on July 29, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a member of the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista. He loved to golf, play bridge, sang in church choir and with a church quartet, the Bella Vibes. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann Dutcher; and two brothers, Lawrence and Don Dutcher. He is survived by two sons, Douglas Dutcher (Valerie) of Norton, Mass., David Dutcher of Rogers, Ark.; one daughter, Sandra Gorecki (Don) of Corydon, Iowa; twin brother, Herb Dutcher (Ruth) of Indianola, Iowa; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and dear friend, Margaret Seba of Bella Vista. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013, at the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
