William David Hulsey Jr.

William David "Bill" Hulsey Jr., passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, at his home in Elkins, Ark., surrounded by his loving family. He was born Feb. 25, 1929, in Calvert, Texas, to parents William and Eva Hulsey. He and Alma Jeanette Register were married for 63 wonderful years. Bill began his career with the United States Navy in 1948 and proudly served his country until his retirement in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Jenny of the home in Elkins; a daughter, Karen Pritchard and husband, Bill, of Elkins, Ark.; daughter, Kathy Jo Pianalto and husband, Randy, of Lincoln, Ark.; a son, David Hulsey and wife, Carol, of Battleboro, N.C.; a son, Robert Dale Hulsey (deceased); a sister, Faye Lawson Timmons of Calvert, Texas; grandchildren, Laren Vaught of Elkins, Ark., Jake Pianalto of Locust Grove, Okla., Clay Pianalto of Summers, Ark., Ashley Hulsey of Burlington, Vt., Taylor Hulsey of Pocatello, Idaho; and three great-grandchildren, Colten and Caden Vaught, and Jolee Rae Pianalto. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elkins, Ark. Graveside services are 1 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark., with Pastor Rex Griffin officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Jake Pianalto, Clay Pianalto, Colten Vaught and Caden Vaught.
