Helen M. King

Helen M. King, age 96, of Desha, Ark., passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, in Batesville. She was born March 2, 1917, in Fayetteville, the daughter of Odus and Essa Clark Brooks. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. King. Survivors include daughter, Betty Carole Simmons and husband, Bob of Desha, Ark.; one granddaughter, Tracy McFerran of Desha, Ark.; and two sisters, Betty Riley of North Canton, Ohio, and Veta Boatright of Fayetteville, Ark. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Beard's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ray Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
