Gary Kent Giffin

Gary "Gube" Kent Giffin, 71, of Goshen, went to meet the Lord in his sleep, Friday, March 8, 2013, at his home. Gary was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Marble, Ark., to Velma Mae Tacker Giffin and Otto Oren Giffin. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to hunt arrowheads and Indian artifacts. He was always at peace anytime that he could be outdoors in the Ozarks. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; his brother, Kenneth Giffin; and one nephew, Wayne Giffin. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon Arzetta Cain Giffin of the home; one daughter, Kentrina Arzetta Giffin Fowler and her husband, Chris of Springdale; one son, Cody Kent Giffin of the home; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Giffin of Springdale. He was a loving and devoted father that was loved by all and was very proud and excited to be expecting his first grandbaby, Annaston Grace Fowler in April. A celebration of Gary's life will be Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Paul Eden officiating. Burial will be in Lower Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Kiwanis Aktion Club, c/o Elizabeth Richardson Center, P.O.
