Owen Eugene Taylor

Owen Eugene Taylor, age 90, of Garfield, passed away on March 6, 2013, in Garfield. He was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Washburn, Mo., to the late Benjamin Garland and Snoe Anderson Taylor. He was a veteran of the United States Air Corps, having served during WWII. He retired from the Arkansas Highway Department and was a farmer in Garfield. He loved his family, friends and his farm. He is survived by his wife, Helen Louise Taylor of the home, one daughter, Lynda and her husband, Joe Maniscalco, of Mobile, Ala., two sisters, Vivian Pitts of Garfield, Juanita Gillam of Anderson, Mo., and by three grandchildren, April Daun Strout, Grace Anne Maniscalco and Elissabeth Snoe Maniscalco. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannie Taylor Strout; and by one brother, E.J. Taylor. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 11 at the First Baptist Church in Garfield. A visitation will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, March 10 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers. Interment will be in the Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield. Memorials may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
