Vivian King

Vivian King, 99, of Elkins passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Springdale. She was born May 27, 1913, in Trace Branch, Ark., the daughter of John Henry and Bessie Holden Snider. She retired from Campbell Soup and was an avid quilter. She sold her quilts all over the United States. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Guy O. King; one brother, John Snider; and two sisters, Anita Fallen and Muriel Fincher. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Brink and husband, Jimmy of Elkins and Gayle Hogatt and husband, James of Rogers; one brother, Randolph Snider of Rogers; two sisters, Effie Howard of Winslow and Dorothy Williams of Farmington; four grandsons, Danny Brink, David Brink, Jeff Hoggatt and Greg Hoggatt; and six great-grandchildren, Ashley Brink, Derrick, Jamie and Aubrey Brink and Tyler and Luke Hoggatt. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Beard's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Lynville Eaton officiating. Burial will be in King's Cemetery.
