Sheila Fay (Carlton) Young

Sheila Fay (Carlton) Young of Rogers, Ark., passed away March 3, 2013. She was born April 18, 1944, in Harrison, Ark., the daughter of Dale and Oleta Carlton, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Harrison High School and earned her associate's degree from the School of the Ozarks, Point Lookout, Mo. Sheila lived most of her life in Vicksburg, Miss., where she and Tony, loving husband of more than 47 years, raised their children. Many wonderful friends and memories were made there. Sheila was a lady of strong Christian faith. She worked diligently in the Lord's church an everyday life. She had great love for family and was a constant support for her husband, children and grandchildren. Sheila's talents included beautiful crochet, needlework and crafts. Her delicious candies were always an important part of her Christmas gifts for family and friends. She loved genealogy and spent much time working on family ancestry. Some of her research can be found at the Boone County Historical Museum in Harrison, Ark. Sheila is survived by her husband, James A. "Tony" Young; her son, James Ashley Young (Tara) of Russellville; her daughter, Marnie Farrell (James) of Garfield; 14 grandchildren, Taylor Toole (Angelo), Jordan Young, Kaelyn Young, Savannah Young, Emily Young, Alaina Young, Colby Young, Turner Reeves, Keaton Reeves, Bailee Farrell, Jamie Farrell, Jeremy Farrell, Zachery Farrell and Ashley Farrell; her great-grandson, Bryson Wood; her brother, DeWayne Carlton (Dorthy) of Harrison; her sisters, Linda Yount (John) of Rogers, Shannon Walker (Don) of Springdale; her sisters-in-law, Louise Watts (James) and Rochelle Powers (Phil) of Harrison; and numerous other family members, who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, Ark., Tuesday, March 5, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Harrison, with Les Ferguson Sr. officiating. Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice at 901 Jones Road in Springdale, Ark., and at Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark.
