Annabelle McVay

Annabelle McVay, age 84, of Bentonville, died March 1, 2013, at her home. She was born in Hiwasse on Nov. 22, 1928, to the late Clyde and Mae (Galyean) Mitchell. For many years Annabelle worked for the drug store in downtown Bentonville through its changes from Tinnin to Rose to Rex Drug Stores. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Bentonville where she was church secretary for a number of years and served as a Sunday school teacher and nursery attendant. Survivors include her husband of over 65 years, William "Lonnie" McVay; daughter, D-Ann Rose and husband, Steve; son, Gary McVay, all of Bentonville. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Reba McVay; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jimmie McVay; brother, Everett Mitchell; and a granddaughter, Stefanie Rose Tucker. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel, Bentonville. Private burial will be held in Bentonville Cemetery.
