Hans Richard Roehl

Hans Richard "Dick" Roehl, age 82, of Rogers, died Feb. 26, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born in Detroit, Mich., on May 1, 1930, to the late Herman and Clara (Bischoff) Roehl. Dick was a graduate of Denby High School in Detroit and was in the Detroit Fiddlers Band. After completing business college, he began working with Vickers, Incorporated, from which he retired after more than 30 years of service. Dick was active with United Way charities, volunteered with the food pantry at Christ the King Lutheran Church, where he was a member, and was a member of the Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas. He had a love of nature and the outdoors, and enjoyed many genres of music, but especially jazz. Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Roehl and husband Kevin Cronin of Overland Park, Kan., Karen Roehl-Sivak and husband John Sivak of Novato, Calif.; grandchildren, Seanna and Ross Cronin; and great-granddaughters Mikalah and Kaitlynn. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joann Roehl; and a brother, Herman Roehl, Jr. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bentonville, officiated by Pastor Stacy Seger. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 406 W Central Ave., Bentonville, 72712; or to the Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas, 1208 Rolling Oaks Lane, Rogers, 72756.
