Iva Fern Keesling Heidebrecht

Iva Fern (Keesling) Heidebrecht, age 81, born Oct. 16, 1931, in Sylvia, Kan., passed away Feb. 26, 2013, at home surrounded by her family. She was employed for many years in the family-owned telephone business and was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Donald, whom she married on Feb. 12, 1950, in Burrton, Kan.; and three daughters, Peggy Diane Hannon (Joe) Fredericksburg, Texas, Linda Maria Heidebrecht-Sovich (Charlie) Des Moines, Iowa, and Susan Ann Ambroson (Terry) Urbandale, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, William Donald Heidebrecht; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I.G. Keesling; and one sister, Vita Chapman. Three sisters and one brother survive, Ella Collins Colcord of Forest Grove, Ore., Aline Oswald of La Mirada, Calif., Maxine Lundstrom and George Keesling of Hutchinson, Kan. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, Texas. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 1, 10 a.m. at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the family plot in Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Kan., over Memorial Day weekend. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Burrton United Methodist Church, Burrton, Kan.; Fredericksburg United Methodist Church Choose Life Sunday School Class; or Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Fredericksburg, Texas.
