Leo Earl Schofield

Leo Schofield passed away June 24, 2013, at the age of 77 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. Leo was born Aug. 31, 1935, in Greenville, Mich., the third son of Layla B. (Magee) and William Schofield. Leo attended Greenville Schools In 1954, enlisted in the U.S. Marines, he was shipped to Korea and discharged in 1956. Over the years Leo worked at many jobs from Gibson Refrigerator, Cook Amusement and Thompson & McCulley of Ann Arbor, Mich. Leo also worked at the Milan Moose Club and The Old Shack of Milan, Mich. Leo lived in Milan for many years before moving to Arkansas with his daughters. It was while he worked at Cook Amusement that he met and married Beverly Jane Tooman, who is the mother of his first two daughters, who survive, Tina Starks, grandsons, Harold Everett, Sammuel and Andrew Starks, LeeAnn (Richard) Irby, both of Rogers, Ark. Also survives is a third daughter, Angela Schofield, granddaughter, Angelica Cheyenne of Ypsilanti, Mich. Leo is also survived by his brothers, Bruce (Kay) Schofield of Morley, Mich., Jim (Marilyn) Schofield of Greenville, Mich.; and his only sister, Cindy (Les) Lillie of Greenville, Mich. Also there are many nieces and nephews from all across the United States that loved their Uncle Leo and will miss him. Leo was preceded in death by his parents; his aunt and uncle, Dorothy (George) Waller; and two brothers, Donald, Larry; two nephews, Lynne Schofield and Howard William Schofield; and Martha Tooman, Jim and Connie Tooman, and Lois Huddleston. Cremation has already taken place. Military services and burial and graveside services will be at the family plot at Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville, Mich., at a later date.
