Jackie Allen Macy

Jackie Allen Macy, age 60, died Oct. 12, 2012, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was born July 2, 1952, in Fayetteville, Ark. His parents were Theodore "Ted" Roosevelt Macy and Effie Irene Rizley Macy Reeves. Preceded in death his parents; his second father, William H. Reeves; his grandmother, Martha Delaney Whittle; one sister, Wanda Sue Macy Smith; two brothers, Jimmy Carl and Frankie Theodore Macy. Survivors: two daughters, Keala Sarita Macy and Vinessa Rosanna Macy; one granddaughter, Racheal Anne Werner (mother Keala); brothers, Charles Wesley Macy, William Darryl Reeves, Bobby Eugene Reeves and Tommy Francis Reeves; sisters, Jona Lee Gorman, Lula Blanche Eldredge, Sharin Kay Harrison and Willene Reeves O'Donell. Jackie was in the U.S. Marines for six years and received honorable awards and noted for being a remarkable, honest and faithful Marine. He received medals as a wireman, rifle sharpshooter, National Defense Service and Good Conduct. He was known for his honorable service in the U.S. Marine Corps. In the six years Jackie did his country proud with honor. Jackie look on life as everyone was his friend. He had lots of hobbies; he loved to sing, write songs, drawing, music; he played the harmonica and the guitar; he loved fishing and cooking. Jackie was a Christian and was a member of the First Baptist Church (Cross Church) of Springdale. After leaving the Marines he would travel from his first home Springdale, Ark., to his second home in Honolulu, Hawaii, with his best friend, Ruben Jane, his Doberman pincher, his dog. While traveling, Jackie's health kept going down and his death was in Honolulu. Now that we have Jackie back home there will be a Celebration of Life Service at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday, June 28, 2013, at 1 p.m. I am sure no one will forget the extraordinary grin that he had for all, which was his trademark.
