Charles Oden Hudgeons

Charles Oden Hudgeons, 83, of Springdale died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born April 21, 1930, in Norphlet, Ark., to Robert and Bonnie Bradshaw Hudgeons. Charles was a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Robinson Avenue congregation in Springdale. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and retired from Arkansas Chemicals in El Dorado in 1995. He was an avid Razorback fan and enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hudgeons, of the home; two sons, Randy Hudgeons and wife, Debbie, of Vilonia, Rick Hudgeons and wife, Amy, of Springdale; a brother, Jerry Hudgeons and wife, Karen, of Foreman; a sister, Joyce Pine and husband, Kenneth, of Ashdown; five grandchildren, Daniel Hudgeons and wife, Rita, Allison Overbay and husband, Ryan, Michael Helms and wife, Amanda, Anna Hudgeons, Ethan Hudgeons; three great-grandchildren, Conner Hudgeons, Kyle Hudgeons, Grant Overbay; and one expected great-grandson, Jacob Helms. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ. Interment will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home; online guest book at www.heritageofnwa.com.
