Betty Jeane Quillen

Betty Jeane Quillen, 86, of Rogers, Ark., passed away June 14, 2013. She was born Feb. 6, 1927, in Joplin, Mo., to James Walter and Sue Sethalone Bond Bradrick. Betty was an amazing, awesome, supportive mother/grandmother and deeply loved by her daughters and grandsons. Most people would describe her as smart and quick-witted. She had an outgoing personality and loved to talk to strangers. Betty enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling and made the best pie-crust around. She had a lifelong practice of playing cards/dominoes with friends. Betty was a faithful member of Central United Methodist Church for 30 years. She loved to crochet and was a charter member of the prayer shawl ministry at Central. Betty was known for making individualized, computerized, sparkly cards that were personalized with her poetry for the recipient. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dale Quillen; her parents; and a sister, Helen Arric. Betty is survived by two daughters, Janis Cline and husband, Gary, of Centerton, Ark., and Denise Bolton and husband, Bryce, of Rogers, Ark.; three grandsons, Caden Bolton of Rogers, Ark., Conor Bolton of Fayettville, Ark., and Calin Cline, serving in the United States Air Force in Cheyenne, Wyo. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Central United Methodist Church, 2535 W. New Hope Road, Rogers, AR 72758, with the Rev. Jaimie Alexander officiating. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Benton County Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society, 407 E. Nursery Road, Rogers, AR 72758.
