James Martin Moore

James Martin Moore, 92, of Bella Vista died June 11, 2013, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born Dec. 20, 1920, in Hodge, La., the son of Cleveland and Lizzie Gilbert Moore. He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1940 until 1946, where he obtained an honorable discharge. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor. James enjoyed quality time with his family, traveling and loved spending time on the ocean. He was a fabulous husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Marian Moore, who passed away October 2011; one son, James K. Moore; and one brother, Harold Moore. James is survived by one son, Garrett Moore and his wife, Deborah, of Bella Vista; one sister, Betty Thompson and her husband, Glenn, of Wichita, Kan.; one grandson, Aaron Moore and his wife, Meagan, of South Carolina; and two great-grandchildren, Madison Moore and Haley Moore, both of South Carolina.
