Edward Francis Zegler

Edward Francis Zegler, 75, of Bella Vista, Ark., died June 3, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. He was born on July 21, 1937, in Chicago, Ill., to Edward C. Zegler and Catherine Dopierala Zegler. He was raised and educated in Chicago, Ill. Edward married Gertrude Krieger on Sept. 26, 1959, in Chicago; they lived in Des Plaines, Ill., for 29 years. He was an active community volunteer in Des Plaines and Gilberts, Ill. They moved to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1999. He was on the board of Live on Stage in NWA and was active with NorthWest Arkansas Community College in Bella Vista. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Zegler of Bella Vista; three sons, Douglas Zegler and wife, Debra, of Schaumburg, Ill., Daniel Zegler and wife, Cynthia, of Palatine, Ill., Donald Zegler and wife, Megan, of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Rosemary Frank and husband, Richard, of West Dundee, Ill.; and nine grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, One St. Bernard Lane, Bella Vista, Ark.
