Delbert Ewell Fritz

Delbert Ewell Fritz, 84, of Bella Vista, Ark., died May 6, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born on Jan. 8, 1929, in Kansas City, Kan., to Joseph Fritz and Jennie Condon Fritz. He worked for Southwestern Bell as a test-board man. He moved to Bella Vista in 1984 from Shawnee, Kan. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers. He loved to play cards, golf, loved to garden, ballroom dancing, spending time with family and his children. He helped his son through Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, coached Little League baseball, and later, helped with a traveling team. He loved to travel all 50 states and four continents. He was a member of the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He was a member of the United Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Fritz of Bella Vista, Ark.; one daughter, Diana Harvey and husband, David, of Ocoee, Fla.; son, David Fritz and wife, Tammy of Gardner, Kan.; seven grandchildren, Justin Harvey, Kara Holcomb, Melissa Martinex, Chad Fritz, Kyle Fritz, Nicole Graham, Cody Jackson; and four great-grandchildren. A private family memorial service was held at Bella Vista Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial was held at the Bella Vista Cemetery.
