Corkey Liston

Corky Liston, age 64 of Larue, Ark., passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, at his home in Larue. Corky was born in Wagoner, Okla., on Jan. 12, 1949, to Fred and Ruth (Speck) Liston. Corky served his country in the United States Army with the 173rd Airborne Brigade during Vietnam and received the Order of the Purple Heart. He owned and operated LLL Construction in Northwest Arkansas for many years and was a member of the VFW in Rogers. Corky enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, riding motorcycles, going to Panama and Colorado for fishing and hunting trips. Corky especially enjoyed fish fries and spending time with his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Barney Dean Liston; Corky is survived by three daughters, Brandee Bocock and husband Chris of Oklahoma; Traci Hill and husband Dan of Missouri; Robin Rounds and husband Jamie of Garfield, Ark.; one brother, Charles Leroy Liston and wife Mary of Idaho; six grandchildren, Taylor, Jordin, Drew, Mason, Dustin, and Draye; one great grandson, Jaxon; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. A Celebration of Life gathering will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the VFW Post 3031 (11160 North Old Wire Road) in Rogers, Ark.
