Ruth Elizabeth Langdon

Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Langdon, 78, of Catalpa, passed from this life Sunday July 14, 2013 at her home. She was born in Phillips Wisconsin. Her parents were Frank and Ruth Link Salek. She is survived by husband of 57 years, Don Langdon; sons, Joe (Keesha) Langdon of Huntington Beach California, and Tom Langdon of Catalpa; granddaughters, Tatum and Ava Langdon of Huntington Beach; brothers, Dan Salek, and Lenny Salek; and One sister Gladys Oerichbauer, all of Wisconsin. Ruth was, for many years, a Data Entry Supervisor for the West Orange County Municipal Court, in Westminster, California. She made many friends there and missed them very much when she retired and moved with her husband to Catalpa, Arkansas. The ends of the earth for her but she adapted quickly, joined the Grace Lutheran Church, then in Clarksville, and started making new friends. She developed an abiding love of the Ozark Mountain Culture and people. Going to Blue Grass Festivals was one of her favorite things. Visitation for Mrs. Langdon will be Wednesday July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clarksville Funeral Home Chapel, 510 West Cherry Street in Clarksville. Funeral Services Thursday July 18, at 10 a.m. and will be held at the River Valley Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Herb Swanson officiating, burial will follow at the Oark Cemetery in Oark, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Ricky Wages, Len Bollman, Edmund Drittler, Leo Kenornschild, Dennis Rood, and Dwain Langdon.
