Norma "Darlene" Lauver, 64, of Springdale, Ark., passed from this life on July 13, 2013. She was born March 10, 1949, in Eureka, Kan., to Harold and Elnora (Gum) Falk. Darlene went to high school in Wichita, Kan., and went on to pursue a career as a surgical nurse at Springdale Memorial Hospital and The Springdale Surgery Center. She recently retired from Northwest Medical Center. Darlene will always be remembered for her work ethic and quality. She loved her job assisting the doctors and taking care of her patients. She enjoyed cooking and collecting recipes and cookbooks. Norma was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Stacy Johnson Dudley and Stephanie Carson (Paul), all of Springdale; two brothers, Dale Falk (Bobbi) of Chugiak, Alaska, and Brad Falk (Jennifer) of West Fork, Ark.; five grandchildren, Ashly McPherson Morrow (Jeremy), Stephen Carpenter, Bryn Martens, Lindsey Carson and Bryant Bewley; and two great-granddaughters, Beaux McPherson and Ryan Morrow, due in August. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. A visitation will follow the service from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
