Elinor Jo Ann Hutchens

Elinor Jo Ann Hutchens passed from this life on April 20, 2013, peacefully at home, after a long homebound illness. Jo Ann was born Jan. 6, 1926, to Glen and Agnes Winters in Valley Center, Kan. She attended Valley Center High School and the Wesley School of Nursing. She received her RN in Michigan and was proud of her white nursing hat as she practiced in Kansas, Iowa, Michigan and Virginia. She served her country proudly as a nurse cadet during WWII. After moving to Bella Vista in 1990, she became an active member of the Lady's 5-Hole Golf, the Welcome Wagon and various volunteer activities. She enjoyed and supported the live theaters and the Arkansas Lady Backs. Jo Ann was justly proud of her four boys, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Max and Bill Winters; and oldest son, Michael. Survivors include her husband of 68 year, George; three sons, Pat and wife, Sue, of Potosky, Mich., Kevin and wife, Lori, of Tulsa, Okla., Kelly and wife, Michelle, of Haymarket, Va.; and daughter-in-law, Carol of Franklin, Tenn. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd. Service will be officiated by Dr. Anna Teel.
