Elizabeth Ann Holloway

Elizabeth Ann Holloway, 71, of Gentry, Ark., left this world surrounded by loved ones on July 8, 2013, at Walnut Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation in Springdale, Ark., after a long and courageous battle with her health. Elizabeth was a friend to many and was lovingly referred to as "Liz/Granny." Elizabeth was born in Tulsa, Okla., Sept. 25, 1941, but spent most of her life in Gentry, Ark. Living in Gentry allowed her to stay close to her kids and grandkids. Liz loved socializing and telling stories with her friends in town, at the hair salon and the local pizza restaurant. She always had a pulse for what was going on with people in the community. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Bambi and husband, Wes Potter, of Colcord, Okla., Kevin and wife, Shelia Bowers, of Gentry, Ark., John Van Dyke of Henryetta, Okla., and Jeff and wife, Kathy Van Dyke, of Wesley, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson Bullion and Roberta Patterson. Under the explicit direction of Liz, there will be no service. She will be cremated. Her friends and family that have known her will know and understand that this is exactly the way she wanted it. She leaves behind memories of her funny storytelling and strong personality and that's the way she wanted to be remembered. Arrangements are by Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.
