Dorothea Kirkpatrick

Dorothea Kirkpatrick, 87, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in Springdale. She was born Oct. 23, 1925, in California to Joseph William Peironnet and Luetina (Chambers) Peironnet. Mrs. Kirkpatrick retired from Mattel Toy Company and moved here from California. She formerly lived in West Fork before moving to Springdale, where she attended Baptist Ford Church, was involved with the Baptist Ford Extension Homemakers and was a volunteer tutor at Greenland Elementary School. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Parker of Bentonville, Ark.; six grandchildren, Katie Fritz and husband, Eugene of Durham, Ark., Ron, Larry, Michael, Tonnie and Sean Kirkpatrick of Missouri; and numerous great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville.
