Eugene Clarence Knuth

Eugene Clarence "Gene" Knuth, 81, of Rogers passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, in the Veteran's Hospital in Fayetteville. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 44 years, Wanda Joyce Knuth; and by a brother, Richard Knuth. He was born May 12, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Alexander and Ethel Knuth. He served in the Marine Corps from 1951 to 1959, and was a tool-and-die maker for many years in Northwest Arkansas. Survivors include his four children, Guy Alexander Knuth of Bentonville, Karen Joyce Abbott-May, Max Allen Knuth and Amy Diane Doebele of Rogers; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the stateroom of Rollins Funeral Home, 1401 W. Hudson Road in Rogers. Interment will be Thursday, July 11, at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville. Memorials are suggested to Heroes' Haven Palliative Care at the Veteran's Hospital, 1100 N.
