David Ralph Trout

David Ralph Trout, age 79, of Fayetteville passed peacefully in his sleep on July 5, 2013. He was born Nov. 30, 1933, in Kansas City, Mo., to Ralph and Lena Roller Trout. He was preceded in death by his parents and two wives, Marion Trout and Blanche Trout. Dave was a retired Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Air Force, and spent 30 years in the heat and air industry in Mesa, Ariz. After retirement, Dave and his wife, Blanche moved to Tennessee. He spent his time enjoying his grandchildren and working in his wood shop. Anyone who knew Dave was aware that behind his taciturn and gruff exterior was a kind and giving soul. No one knew this better than his grandchildren, who could always count on Grandpa Trout to say "yes" when parents or grandma said "no." Near the end of his life, Dave took great comfort in knowing that a piece of himself would live on in his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his daughter, Janet Trout-Lynch of Fayetteville; two sons, Robert Trout and Wayne Trout of Mabelvale, Ark.; his sister, Sandy Turner of Kansas City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Cherie, Megan, David, Joe, Christopher, Jacob, Jessica, William, Jeremy, Chris and Billy; and 11 great-grandchildren, James, Garrett, Creedence, Nevada, Noah, Phoebe, Kelvin, Heather, Tommy, Kelly and Marisa. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, Ark., with no service planned at this time. The family would like to give a special thanks to Katherine's Place of Fayetteville for their caring and concern in the last year of his life, especially to his favorite caregivers, (his girls) Misty, Sheryl, Amber and Pam. And words cannot express our gratitude to Misty for not letting him pass from this world alone. To place an online tribute, visit www.mooresfuneralchapel.com.
