Bill Milam

The Rev. Bill Milam, 79, of Springdale, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at home. He was born July 24, 1933, in Barling, Ark., to the late Henry and Jessie Milam. He was a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served for 47 years in the ministry in Michigan, Texas and several churches in Arkansas within the Concord Clear Creek Associations. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict and retired from the 188th Tactical Air Guard. He is survived by his wife, June Milam, of the home; two daughters, Kim Hamilton and husband, David, of Olathe, Kan., and Ditzi Dee Cameron of Springdale; a son, Billy Milam of Omaha, Neb.; three sisters, Vida Lee Frazier of Enid, Okla., Lahoma Edwards of Greenwood and Jane Robinson of Cedarville; nine grandchildren, Danya Johnson, Devon Cameron Nubbie, Deanna Gore, Amy Milam, Erin Brown, Rachel Milam, Ross Milam, Justin Hamilton and Andrea Hamilton; and 12 great-grandchildren, Cameron Johnson, Cassie Johnson, Katie Gore, Chase Gore, Chandler Gore, Ava Nubbie, Marley Dittman, Harper Dittman, Dylan Dittman, Taylor Smalley, Danae Smalley and Ellarie Hamilton. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Kibler Baptist Church Activities Building, Kibler, Ark. Burial with military honors will be held privately under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, Ark.
