Vera Aline Banks

Vera Aline (Patterson) Banks, 84, of Pea Ridge, passed away Jan. 19, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was born Feb. 28, 1928, at Jacket, Mo., daughter of the late Cecil and Pearl Patterson. On July 17, 1943, she was married to Armon Banks in Rogers, who preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1999. She was also preceded by three children, Ronald, Wallace, and Sharon; sisters, Carolyn Patterson and Wylene Bradford. She is survived by one son, Larry Banks of Purdy, Mo.; three daughters, Darlene Endecott and husband, Gary, of Raymore, Mo., Anita Roll and husband, Marvin, of Republic, Mo., Brenda Doepke and husband, Matt, of Pea Ridge; nine grandchildren, Richard Carver, Dena Carver, Greg Endecott, Jeff Endecott, Tina Roll, Robert Roll, Mindy Banks, Mallory Banks and Tara Doepke; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley Endecott, Jake Carver, Peyton Stewart, Bryce Endecott, Audrey Endecott, Gage Endecott, Laura Endecott and Colton Cook; one brother, Jack Patterson; three sisters, Pauline Bellm, Janice Jones and Sandra Stogdill. Aline was a member of the Pea Ridge Church of Christ. Most of her life was spent on a farm in McDonald County, Mo., before moving to Pea Ridge in 2000. She enjoyed spending her time making quilts, crocheting and visiting with family and friends. Visitation is set for 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Pea Ridge Church of Christ with the funeral at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
