Donald Ray Jennings, 83, of Marble, Ark., died Jan. 14, 2013, at his home. He was born Nov. 28, 1929, near Marble, Ark., the son of Ray Albert and Etta Howard Jennings. He had retired from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department and was a Baptist. He loved fishing, camping and feeding his hummingbirds. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ethel Guess Jennings; his parents; one brother, Chester Jennings; and one sister, Mary Jennings Little. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Wigger Jennings of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie and Marilyn Jennings of Van Buren and Carroll and Paula Jennings of Huntsville, Ark.; one daughter, Brenda Jennings of Spring Valley, Ark.; two stepsons, David Wigger and Gene Wigger, both of Dean, Ark.; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Holman and Brenda Floyd, both of Dean, Ark.; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Garrin and Laurie Jennings of Springdale, Ark., and Kensley Jennings of Huntsville, Ark.; one great-granddaughter, Lilah Jennings of Springdale, Ark.; 12 step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; his special little buddies, Ava and Hannah Wigger; and special little singers, Amber and Alia Floyd. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Faulkner officiating. Private interment will be in the Lower Campground Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville, Ark. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
