Betty L. Houk

Betty L. Houk, 77, of Rogers, passed away Jan. 14, 2013, in Springdale. She was born Dec. 25, 1935, in Carlinville, Ill., the daughter of Emery and Flossie Hall Hagen Sheumaker. She was the former co-owner of Hiway Host Inn and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Henry Houk. Survived by her children, Steve Houk and wife, Carmen of Rogers, Bruce Houk and wife, Shelia of Garfield, Brian Houk and wife, Laura Bunton of Rogers, and Toni Henrichsen of Tulsa; one sister, Naomi Morris of Springfield, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Friday with services following at 7 p.m. at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th Street, Rogers.
