John Edward Meisenbacher Sr.

John Edward Meisenbacher Sr., 79, of Centerton died peacefully on Jan. 13, 2013. He was born in Ponca City, Okla., on July 23, 1933, to Lee Frank Meisenbacher and Bessie Belle Sybrant Meisenbacher. John graduated from Little Rock Central High School and University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. John was active in the community of Centerton, serving as a city councilman and an active member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, Bentonville. Beloved husband of Loretta Sue Kozel Meisenbacher of 58 ½ years. Dear father and father-in-law of Steve and Lisa Meisenbacher Dearasuagh, John Meisenbacher Jr., Chris and Arnette Clark Meisenbacher and Rodney Meisenbacher. He is also survived by sister, Dorothy Meisenbacher Rinke. John deeply loved his wife, his family including 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, his local community, and his family in Christ. Grandchildren include: Stephen and spouse Christi, Jonathan and spouse Erin, Susan and spouse Garrick, Christopher and spouse Missy, Daniel, Samantha, Jermey, Jennifer and spouse Brandon, Jacob, Joshua, Jessica and spouse Kit, Gaylene, Jocelyne and spouse Jason, Josh and spouse Cristi, and Justin and spouse Bryana. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, and daughter-in-law Theresa Allore Meisenbacher. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Bentonville. Donations may be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church to aid construction or to the local charity of donor's choice in his name. Cremation arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
