Nellie Ruth Stevenson

Nellie Ruth Stevenson, 92, of Tulsa, homemaker, died Monday Jan. 7, 2013. She is survived by daughters, Carol (Stevenson) Giles of Portland, Ore., and Ruth (Stevenson) Stumpff of Tulsa, Okla., and their husbands, Herb and Keith. She had four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Nellie and her husband, Herbert D. Stevenson, retired to Rogers in 1972. Nellie was a member of PEO and a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital. As a very active member of First Presbyterian Church, she was president of the Women's Association, chairman of the Mission Sewing Project for five years and Circle leader many times. She served a three-year term as an elder and received an Honorary Life Membership to the Presbyterian Women of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 2001. Nellie was widowed in 1992, and was involved with church, friends, travel and family.
