Betty Lou Watkins

Betty Lou Watkins, 83, of Springdale died Jan. 8, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Hutchinson, Kan., to William and Marie Barvais Bailey. Betty was a homemaker. She loved nature and enjoyed wildlife. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and her family. She attended St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springdale. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Glenda Marie Watkins; one brother; and one sister. Survivors include her husband, Glenn Watkins, Sr. of the home; three sons, Glenn Watkins Jr. of Springdale, Steven Green and wife, Melissa of Bartlesville, Okla., and Jack E. Green of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Marilyn Fox of Medicine Lodge, Kan., and Allesha Watkins Byrd of Springdale; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson, Kan.
