Deanie D. Williams

Deanie D. Williams, 86, of DeWitt died Feb. 17, 2013, in Rogers, of an apparent heart attack while recovering from hip replacement surgery Christmas Day. She was born June 5, 1926, in Arizona to Walter Scott and Jewel Farner Wilson, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her were her husband of 65 years, H.D. Williams in 2007, and her stepmother, Dora A. Wilson, in 2011. She and her husband operated H.D. Williams TV and Appliance of DeWitt for several decades. She was an avid collector of arts and crafts and was a frequent visitor to the craft fairs in Northwest Arkansas. Other hobbies included playing cards with friends, enjoying dinner theater outings, and visiting her grandchildren in Rogers. She took pride in organizing multiple photo albums for her children and grandchildren and was never without her camera to memorialize special occasions. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of DeWitt. Survivors are her daughters, Lynda Williams of the home, Terri Womack (Steve) of Rogers; grandchildren, Will Owens (Amanda), Bradley Womack and Phillip Womack, all of Rogers; great-grandchild, Liam Owens, 6, of Rogers; three half-sisters, Jo West of Tempe, Ariz., Shirley Royer of Norwalk, Calif., and Dona June Vanlandingham of Roseville, Calif., along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Essex Funeral Home Chapel with burial at DeWitt Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
