Betty Louise Freshwater

Betty Louise Freshwater, 95, of Lowell died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born Nov. 28, 1917, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to William Earl and Della Knudson Cornish. Betty grew up and lived in Cedar Rapids where she met her husband, Roy. She worked for the Quaker Oats Company in Cedar Rapids for 13 years. She and her family also lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa, before moving to Northwest Arkansas. The Freshwater family built their home of 55 years in the Hickory Creek area of Beaver Lake. The lake had not yet filled at that time. Betty was a member of Hickory Creek Ladies Club. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981. She is survived by her son, Joe Freshwater and wife, Liquetta, and a grandson, Coy Freshwater, all of Lowell. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Arrangements are with Heritage Funeral Home.
