Georald Hufford, 86, died Feb. 16, 2013, in Bentonville. He was born on May 5, 1926, to the late Benjamin Harrison and Lela Mae (Thomas) Hufford in Hartman, Ark. He was married to the late Esther Virl (Allmendinger) Hufford on June 21, 1945, in Hiwasse. He served in the Army Infantry from 1944-1945, during which time he played music on his ship, was on the tank division and was in charge of a K-9 search dog named Sarge. Georald enjoyed fishing, camping, playing music, loved to dance and sing, and especially, spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Jerry Hufford and wife, Pat, and Gary Hufford and wife, Teresa, all of Little Flock; two daughters, Karen Dubois and husband, Ron, of Gentry and Brenda Gay Hufford of Bentonville; grandchildren, Shelli Phia, Missi Brooks, Shonda Roscher, Shannon Hufford and Morgan Hufford; and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, seven brothers and sisters, and an infant son, Johnny Ralph Hufford. His funeral service will be Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church, Bentonville, with Pastor Don Morrow and Chaplain Jo Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Benton County Memorial Park. A visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville. Services are under the care of Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville.
