Oleta Birdsong

Oleta Birdsong, age 86, of Bentonville died Feb. 10, 2013, at her home. She was born in Sedan, Okla., on Oct. 14, 1926, to the late Homer and Belle (Young) Fulton. Survivors include her children, Sheila Thornton of Bentonville, Lloyd Edwin Birdsong of Modesto, Calif., Richard Birdsong of Kent, Wash., Wendell Birdsong of Jacksboro, Tenn.; sister, Marie Nichols of Rogers; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Birdsong; daughters, Glenda, Janell and Ida Birdsong; and brothers, James and Harold Fulton. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, with services beginning at 2 p.m. in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
