Charles 'Winston' Harvey

Charles "Winston" Harvey, 71, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in Fayetteville. He was born July 2, 1941, in Fayetteville, the son of Cecil and Mary Helen Myers Harvey. He retired from BSNF Railroad (formerly Frisco) after 36 years of service. He served in the Army National Guard, member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville, a Gideon, member of Masonic Lodge #735 of Alma, delivered Meals on Wheels and also played music and sang for several different senior citizen centers in Northwest Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Billie Jean Harvey of the home; three children, Deborah Harvey Saunders and husband, Scott of Waldron, Ark., Robert Winston Harvey of Sunset, Ark., and Rebecca Lynn Lynch and husband, Doug of Fayetteville; one brother, Gary Harvey and wife, Edith of Fayetteville; and one half-sister, Wanda West of Homerville, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Michael Harvey, Missy Harvey, Andrew Lynch and wife, Amanda, Allison Lynch, Carrie Saunders, Emily Lynch and Corey Saunders; and one great-grandson, Corban Robert. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ridgeview Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Brown officiating. Arrangements are by Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.
