Mary Louise Baier, 76, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in Springdale. She was born Nov. 17, 1936, in Denver, Colo., to James C. Bligh and Nancy M. (Burke) Bligh. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville, a Benedictine Oblate with St. Scholastica Monastery in Ft. Smith, Ark. She was a delegate of the Diocese of Little Rock to the Bishops Convention in Detroit and a student of Southern Literature at the University of Arkansas. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Jones Center in Springdale, Ark. She is predeceased by one son, Michael Gregory Baier; her parents; and two brothers, James and Robert Bligh. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donald Baier; one son, Timothy Baier and wife, Tonya of Hot Springs, Ark.; one daughter; Debbie Campbell and husband, Thomas of Fayetteville, Ark.; two sisters, Pat Rettenmaier and Nancy Leiker, both of Overland Park, Kan.; and four grandchildren, Jared Baier, Meredith Baier, Katelin Campbell and Blake Campbell; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. A Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father John Antony officiating.
