Pattie Lou Waters-Robinson, 79, entered the Kingdom of Heaven, Feb. 2, 2013. Pattie was born to Oliven Countess Waters and Effie Buel Allen-Waters Feb. 17, 1933, in Vivian, La. She graduated from Edna High School in 1951 having performed as a majorette for the Edna Cowboys. Often found in the garden, Pattie enjoyed being outdoors and keeping busy. Many admired her entrepreneurial spirit, acknowledging the many businesses she made successful throughout the years. After retiring to Hot Springs, Ark., in 1988, Pattie volunteered for the Lupus Foundation, the Hot Springs Beautification Commission and spent countless hours helping at her church home, First Baptist Church of Hot Springs. She was beacon of light, laughter and strength for anyone near her. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were what she delighted in most. Grandchildren include Wesley Hall, Whitney Johnson Throop and Jody Galloway Butler. Great-grandchildren include Galen Butler, Hannah Hall, Alyssa Hall, Dylan Williamson, Alistair Throop and Lena Throop. She is predeceased by her parents; one daughter, Brenda Lee Campbell; brothers, Daniel Waters, Duane Waters, Edgar Waters and Weldon Waters; and one granddaughter, Jody Galloway Butler. Survivors include daughters, Audrey Lou Johnson and Robin Sue Galloway; brother, Wayland Waters; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at First Baptist Church in Hot Springs and officiated by Brother John McCallum.
