Helen L. Carlisle

Helen L. Carlisle, 71, of Fayetteville died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center of Fayetteville. She was born Feb. 25, 1941, in Fayetteville, Ark., the daughter of George and Stella McGarrah. She was a seamstress, loved animals, cooking and loved flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; one half-brother, Kenny McCauley; and one half-sister, Elizabeth Owens. Helen is survived by her husband, Carl J. Carlisle of the home, whom she married on Oct. 19, 1960; her daughter, Shelley Leavitt and husband, David of Lenexa, Kans.; one half-brother, Hank McCauley of Killeen, Texas; and one grandson, Drew Leavitt, of Lenexa, Kans. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Sang Avenue Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Pastor Ervin Hutchins officiating.
