Virginia Lee Hughes

Virginia Lee Hughes, age 82, of Winslow, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, in Winslow. She was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Springdale, Ark., the daughter of Harry and Mary Robbins Marriott. She was preceded in death by a son, Jessie Dale Hughes; and a daughter, Jeanette Michelle Panoke. She and her husband owned Hughes Greenhouses for 40 years, a valued produce and greenhouse supplier for local companies. She was a homemaker, a Baptist and an award-winning quilter. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles Hughes; a daughter, Vickie Henson and her husband, Georgie of Winslow; three grandchildren, Tina Mirabella and her husband, Steve, Travis Hughes and Charles Henson and his wife, Kimberly; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Moore's Chapel with Pastor Marsha Cooley officiating. Burial will be in Brentwood Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
