Ronald James Deyo

Ronald James Deyo, age 68, of Fayetteville, died Dec. 25, 2013, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Dec. 20, 1945, in Lynn, Mass., and was the son of Rick and Dorothy Strong Minton. He was a Christian and had worked as a machinist for Emerson Electric Company. He enjoyed restoring hot rod cars and playing pool. He served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne and was a marksman. He is survived by his loving companion, Laura Chelston, of the home; one stepson, Arlise Walker, of Huntsville; three stepdaughters, Nikki Cherry and David, of Rochester, N.Y., Laura McNelly of Fayetteville and Elizabeth Bible of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home with inurnment at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
