Judith "Judy" Ann Kennedy died Dec. 17, 2013, at her home in Bella Vista, Ark. She was 75 years old. Born on April 4, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., and raised in Chicago's western suburbs, Judy began what her entire family would consider the well-lived life. In 1958, she married Gene Kennedy, a man she would spend the next 55 years loving, working and enjoying life alongside. Together they raised three daughters and a son in the Chicago suburb of LaGrange. She adeptly juggled life as a wife, mother, homemaker, community volunteer and full-time office manager. In 2001, Gene and Judy moved to Bella Vista, and have made countless deep friendships through their involvement with Bella Vista Community Church, their neighbors and various bunko, bowling and golfing groups. The last 28 years she relishd being grandmother. "Nama," as she was known by her grandchildren, was very much invested in each of their lives. Judy will be remembered by both family and friends for her fiercely determined love, her never-quit attitude, her highly developed heart of consideration, her expressive manner and her signature blazing pace. She was special. Judy is survived by her husband, Gene; her daughter, Cheri (Dan); her son, Greg (Connie); her daughter, Libby (Rick;) and her daughter, Sandra (Kirk). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Matt, Brett, Alyssa, Lily, Michael, Laura, Em J, Claire, Zach, Truman and Noah; and one great-grandchild, Cooper. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, at Bella Vista Community Church; the Rev. Jeff Reed officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bella Vista Community Church. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd, Bella Vista, Ark.
