SSG Robards Quinten of Bella Vista, Ark., was entered into rest Nov. 7, 2013. He was born June 19, 1973, to Judith (Deain) and Curtis Robards. Quinten C. Robards joined the military in 1997 to provide for his son, Levi C. Robards. He was an amazing man who always put the needs of his family before his own. He received the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism, Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star/Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, and so many others which demonstrates not only his dedication to his children, but to our country. This soldier served two tours in Korea and deployed four times to defend our country. He never stopped fighting 'til the end, but unfortunately he lost his battle at the age of 40 to his service connected illness, which was the most deadly of all, cancer. He donated his organs to cancer research with the hopes that no other soldier or person should die as early as he did. SSG Robards Quinten was the most loving husband and father anyone could ever want. He will never be forgotten. SSG Robards Quinten is survived by his parents; wife, Gwendolyn Robards; sons, Levi Curtis Robards, Sebastian Xavior Robards, Gabriel Orion Robards and Lucien Markus Robards; sister, Tonya Ytes; brother, Thomas Robards and wife, Lilly Robards; mother-in-law, Carroll D. Dunham; and brothers-in-law, James Lease and Dwain Yates. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers, Ark. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark., www.rollinsfuneral.com.
