Lloyd O. Dedrickson

Lloyd Dedrickson, 83, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Circle of Life, Legacy Village, Bentonville, Ark. He was born June 16, 1930, in Clay Center, Neb., to Oliver and Agnes (Gernandt) Dedrickson. He was raised and educated in Missouri. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Lloyd was employed by Sperry-Vickers in Joplin, Mo., and Jackson, Miss., for over 20 years, retiring in 1985. Lloyd married Onita Avara in Jackson, Miss., and they moved to Bella Vista, Ark. They were members of the Disciples of Christ Church in Jackson, Miss. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Russell Dedrickson; and sister, Mary Henson. He is survived by his wife, Onita Dedrickson of Bella Vista; two daughters, Tammie Goldberg of Carl Junction, Mo., and Robin Blotter (Kelly) of Joplin, Mo.; one sister, Julia Hood (Gerald) of Joplin, Mo.; one granddaughter, Allison Blotter; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
