Kathleen A. Wilkerson

Kathleen A. Wilkerson, 93, of Fort Smith, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, in Fort Smith. She was born May 30, 1920, in Alma, Ark., to the late William and Emily Basham. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Wilkerson; a son, Roger Wilkerson; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Wilkerson; three sisters, Verna Winborn, Dorothy Kidd, and Sue Allen; and a brother, Felix Basham. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Kathleen Wilkerson of Fort Smith; a son, Sam Wilkerson and wife, Vicki, of Tulsa; a sister, Ann Morrell of Mulberry; and five grandchildren, Rachel Wilkerson, Lisa Wilkerson, Angela Wilkerson, Julia Wilkerson and Samuel Wilkerson. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
